Okay...I've been working on a new header because I'd like to change the name of this gig.
What is DELIBERATE HOPE? Glad you asked. Hope is the reliance on the promises of Jesus accompanied by the expectation of fulfillment. [Brennan Manning said that.] This year I believe the Lord is teaching me to rely more on his promises ...and do it DELIBERATELY and intentionally... then wait for him to show up and be God.
I'm going to write about HOPE and those promises I'm talking about a little more this summer. For now, this is a start. Soon I'll be changing my URL to this title. Whoa! Don't make that change now...I'm not quite there yet. Baby steps, girls and boys, baby steps.

I'm Pretty Simple
I love being me. I have a normal life filled with the same amount of sunshine and rain as everyone else -- although in my world the sun is so wonderfully bright and the rain is just a time to seek refuge and grow.
The ones I adore most: Jesus, my husband, and my collection of tiny men. I love lots of things... including a good laugh, camping with my family, writing, taking pictures, travel and Little House On the Prairie. When I grow up, I want to be like my mom.

Hey Kim, I've just finished reading a book by Ted Dekker called "The Slumber of Christianity". Central to the books theme of waking us up is having deliberate hope in our reward of entering heaven. The book really challenged me in my thinking and doing of this life here on earth. Dirk
