Facebook

Seriously, I must be dumb.
Everyone I know has a Facebook account and y'all, I just don't get it.
...
I have a Facebook login and, I guess, a page because I had to do all that in order to see my sister-in-law's pictures of the kids. But I never went back... until my Life Group girls informed me "everyone" is doing it. All of a sudden I felt like I was in high school and for whatever reason, I felt compelled to get myself back to Facebook and be cool.
...
I went back and saw who has become friends with who - or whom, whatever. Meredith wished me an early birthday, (thank you) and Cindy and I traded digs over the Sooner win this weekend. Then I clicked (somehow) and got to a wall...and then managed to click on "find some friends" and viola! all my email contacts appeared with their cute little picture along the side. Clickety, click, click... I invited lots of people to be my friend. Now I guess I wait and see what happens.
...
But still, I can Twitter but I'm not sure I can Facebook.
And you? Do you have a Facebook page? What's all the fuss?

Hi! I was told of your Favorites Party carnival by Stephanie's Mommy Brain, so I'm knew to your blog. But great question about facebook. I've just had a month or so of excitement on it as I'm finding all these friends from junior high youth group. It's fun, but as I'm slowing down in the "reunions" it is not quite as thrilling. I'm not into the virtual gift giving stuff. I've actually been considering twitter, and I'm curious what's the difference between the two?

I prefer Facebook to myspace. I have a hard time telling you why I am not a big myspace fan. I belong to both but that is mainly so I can spy on my kids on myspace. I even log in as them and see what their friends are posting on their sites. Wasn't for the kids I would have no myspace. I like facebook because it kind of gives you a breakdown on what your friends are doing.

Twitter is a totally different thing. It is like text messaging online and I love it. LOL

What Theresa said, except my kids aren't on Myspace yet. But when they are, I will spy on them just like my momma did me.

I love Facebook. Love it. Love you ,too.

I'm loving Facebook. I have found friends from grade school up through college. It's also nice when people post pictures of their family. I don't do the gift thing either....I just like to spy on my friends :)

I got a Facebook profile this year. For the past 7+ years I've been paying for a site to keep my high school class connected. I started a FB profile in an effort to migrate from the old site to FB for free. It's fun, but I honestly don't check it but a couple times a week. It would be more fun if more of my classmates also had profiles ... but I haven't been successful at getting them on board just yet.

Twitter, I love more and more all the time.

Sister, I just got on Facebook on Saturday. If I tried to help you it'd be like the blind leading the blind.

I'm just sayin'.

I love my facebook but as I told your friend Cindy, I have only added people I actually have met at least once in my life... I love pictures and getting status updates, and it is a quick way to say hi...

Now Twitter... I have an account but no idea how to use it, maybe you can educate me on that!!

I've had facebook for a couple of years now,and got it for keeping up with my nephew while he was at school in Rome.

Now? It's been a great way to connect with friends from the past and build relationships with new friends!

Glad you're there too :) Love you!!

I'm with you...I just got on because everyone keeps asking me why I'm not, and I need guidance too.

Yes, I'm on Facebook, but I just don't get it, either. I mean, I like to keep up with everyone, and I've found tons of people, but all the other stuff on there (pillow fights, snowballs, hanging stockings or whatever) I just don't get into. I ignore most of the stuff people send me. Except flair. I do love me some flair. : )

I really like Facebook. For me, it's replaced email with most of my friends. Pretty much every single person I know is on it, so it's a good way to just pop in and see what the latest is with them.
I never do quizzes, flair, causes, etc. Those functions just don't interest me.
I like looking at friends' pictures, reading their statuses, posting on their walls (having stuff posted on my wall) posting pictures, sending e-mail, etc.

I don't really understand the whole FaceBook thing either. I have a MySpace page, why do I need Facebook? I'll probably join eventually, but I haven't yet. I don't like the fact that you have to use your real name. But I'm not sure how all their privacy stuff works.

Its pretty fun to find people you lost touch with.

I feel like a dork when I am facebook chatting with my friend Jenn who lives three doors down.

I also hate it when perverted guys from HS ask to be my friend. Whatever.
